Building for Impact: Facility and Finance Planning Strategies for Nonprofits

Nonprofit leaders need networking opportunities to connect with other nonprofit leaders, share experiences, and explore financing solutions.

Last week, CDFI Friendly South Bend joined with local nonprofit partners to host such a workshop at the Studebaker National Museum.

Made possible by a sponsorship from PNC Bank, the interactive session focused on the resources and support available to help nonprofit organizations advance their missions.

Jason King of PNC Bank kicked off the workshop with a presentation on services, grants, and other resources the bank offers to nonprofits.

The workshop was anchored by our partner IFF, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Dedicated to empowering nonprofit organizations, IFF offers valuable insights tailored to nonprofits within our region.

Andre Gibson and Donna Sink from IFF presented strategies to help nonprofits increase their impact through better facility and finance planning. IFF and CDFI Friendly provide a range of services, including capital campaign support, facility assessments, guidance on energy efficiency and sustainability, and more.

Participants also heard from Alex Crowley, Executive Director of the Indiana Energy Independence Fund, the Indiana Green Bank, and Jason King, Vice President of Community Development Banking at PNC Bank.

Thank you to all the nonprofits who joined us, and for the positive feedback — we will be planning more in the future!
