Lenders who can’t offer capital.
Often, traditional financial institutions simply can’t offer flexible, affordable financing to meet community needs. This leaves local borrowers without the financing or the support they need to be successful.
CDFIs looking for new markets.
CDFI lenders have been working in the US for over 40 years but they are not equally distributed: many smaller cities don’t have enough CDFI lenders to meet the range of financial needs. CDFIs want to start lending in these cities but they lack market knowledge.
